Questions
Short answers before you pre-order.
Still unsure? Email us the model from your inverter label. Email Solsidus ↗
Will it work with my inverter?
Today Solsidus works with Deye single- and three-phase hybrid inverters with a Wi-Fi logger on your home network. Growatt, Victron, Huawei and Solis are in development. Not sure? Send us the model from the inverter label and we confirm it before your box ships.
What does it change on my inverter?
Only how the battery charges at night, so tomorrow’s sun still has room. Solsidus reads the setting back to confirm the inverter accepted it. It never opens, rewires or reflashes the inverter, and the inverter’s own safety settings stay as they are.
Do I need an installer?
No. You set it up yourself with the setup wizard: plug in the box, join your Wi-Fi and the wizard finds your inverter on the home network. No wiring.
How much will I save?
It depends on your tariff, battery, usage and season. In our test home on a day/night tariff, night charging was worth about €54 a month. If your battery already charges to 100% every night, the gain is smaller. The savings calculator works out your home.
My battery already charges at night on a timer. Is it still worth it?
Yes, in a different way. A timer fills to 100% every night, even before a sunny day. Solsidus charges only what tomorrow needs, so free solar isn’t wasted and the battery spends less time full. Estimated €8–20 a month (provisional) and 5–15% longer battery life (planning estimate).
Is there a subscription?
Not for Lite. You pay once and it works at home for as long as you own it. Pro includes 24 months of Solsidus Home — live prices, fresh forecasts, remote access and history — and then an optional yearly renewal. Without it, the box keeps working locally.
Lite or Pro?
Lite is for one home with one inverter. Pro is for homes with more than one inverter: one box per inverter, working together as a mesh, even with different inverters. Pro also includes 24 months of Solsidus Home with remote access and cloud history. Both control your battery locally.
What if the internet goes down?
The box keeps working. It plans and controls the battery on your home network. Lite never needs the cloud for that. Pro uses the internet for live prices, fresh forecasts and remote access, and carries on locally without it.
What happens if I unplug it?
Your inverter keeps the last charge setting the box applied and carries on as usual. Plug the box back in and it resumes planning. Nothing needs undoing.
What is in the box?
The Solsidus box, a cable and charger, a desk stand with soft feet, a wall mount and a little Solsidus merch.
Can I return it?
Yes. Under EU consumer law you can withdraw within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Send the box back complete, in its original packaging.
What warranty do I get?
24 months, the EU standard. If the box develops a fault, we examine it and replace it free of charge, provided it hasn’t been opened or tampered with.
How does the pre-order work?
You choose your box and enter your delivery details. No payment is taken today. We get back to you by email before your box ships.
What data leaves my home?
Lite needs no account. Your readings, decisions and savings history stay on the box; it only checks in with us for updates and its service status. Pro adds cloud history and remote access, stored in the EU.
