What SOLARMAN Smart does well
It is free, and it shows production, home use, battery and grid on your phone, for inverters of many brands that use a SOLARMAN logger.
What it leaves to you
SOLARMAN says remote control appears only when your installer or dealer has given you permission. We found no automatic charge planning among its listed features, so the battery's night target stays what someone last set.
SOLARMAN also says it keeps inverter-level curve data for the most recent 6 months.
How Solsidus fits
Solsidus talks to the same Solarman V5 logger, locally, on your home network. Every night it sets the battery's night target from tomorrow's solar forecast and your home's measured use, then reads it back.
Keep SOLARMAN Smart for watching your system. If you change the night target in the app, Solsidus sets it again the next night.
